Ahí van unas expresiones útiles en inglés para cuando tirés de un clásico como es hablar del tiempo:
- Beautiful day, isn't it?
- Can you believe all of this rain we've been having?
- It looks like it's going to rain.
- It sure would be nice to be in Spain right about now.
- I hear they're calling for rain showers all day.
- We couldn't ask for a nicer day, could we?
Otro tema de conversación bastante socorrido es hablar de las noticias, ahí van unas cuantas expresiones en inglés: - Did you read the news today?
- Did you hear about that earthquake in Japan?
- What do you think about this nurse strike in London?
- I read in the paper today that GPs are on strike in Madrid.
- I heard on the radio today that .....
- How about Real Madrid? Do you think they are going to win?
Cuando vas a la oficina y te encuentas con un compañero en el ascensor, diez pisos, ¿Qué dices? - Looking forward to the national holiday?
- Have you worked here long?
- I can't believe how busy we are!
- Has it been a hard week?
- You look like you could use a cup of tea.
- What do you think of the new recruits?
Esperando al tren o al bus, y te encuentras con otro compi: - I didn't think it would be so slow on a Monday.
- The train must be running late.
- It looks like we are going to be here a while, huh?
- I'll have to remember not to come here at this time of the day.
- How long have you been waiting? Have you been waiting long?
